Financial Advice and Assistance

Our Welfare Team can advise on possible sources of financial assistance for students studying on further courses. The Team administers the Learner Support und, which assists further education students who may have difficulty in completing their course because of financial considerations.

The fund can make contributions towards:

  • Materials Charges
  • Books
  • Visits/Field Trips
  • Travel Costs
  • Materials/Equipment
  • Childcare

Applicants would need to meet certain financial requirements to be eligible for this funding.

Advice for HE Students:

Higher Education students should contact their local authority or www.direct.gov.uk/studentfinance for financial support.
