Adult Learning Grant (ALG)
The Adult Learning Grant (ALG) is a weekly payment worth up to £30 to help with the cost of learning e.g. travel, books, field trips, fees etc. To be eligible, students have to be aged 19 or older and studying full time for their first full level 2 or first full level 3 LSC funded qualification.
There are further criteria regarding income levels, residency conditions and learners NOT being in receipt of certain benefits.
