Fashion Construction - College Certificate

This six week Fashion Construction course offers a valuable introduction to the basic requirements of pattern cutting and garment construction for a size 12 skirt.  You will learn how to cut and make a pattern, learn sewing techniques and complete a garment.

Content

Week 1: Introduction to Pattern Cutting and Industrial Machinery

Week 2: Sewing techniques, seams and zips

Week 3: Pattern cutting, pattern making.

Week 4: Sample cutting and manufacture of skirt.

Week 5: Skirt Manufacture

Week 6: Skirt Manufacture

Duration

This is a six week course running on a Tuesday evening (may be subject to change), 6pm-9pm, subject to sufficient numbers (minimum of 16). The next start date will be in the Autumn Term 2012, exact date to be confirmed.
