This six week course in Web Design using WordPress software will show you how to get your own web address and hosting, how to install and customise the look, how to use plug-ins to extend the capabilities of your site and how to use images and video. At the end of the course, you will have the skills and confidence you need to develop and update your site on your own. You will learn how to get a live website up and running from scratch, using open source software WordPress which is available free of charge on Mac, PC and Linux. WordPress is suitable for personal portfolio sites, club, society and interest sites, small business sites and more; it is an ideal platform for websites that need to be regularly and easily updated. WordPress sites can even be updated from smartphones.
