VTCT Award in Facial Massage and Skincare (QCF)

This course is designed to develop knowledge of full facial techniques including skin analysis, superficial and deep cleansing techniques, facial massage and mask applications. Emphasis is on practical work with theory instruction provided to gain a fundamental understanding of the subject. 

Entry Requirements 

Minimum age 18 years. English and Science GCSE or equivalent at grade C or above. Satisfactory reference.

Duration

This course is due to commence in September 2012 dependent on numbers. It is usually run one evening per week, 6.00pm–9.00pm, exact day to be confirmed.   We also anticipate to commence a course in November for 12 non-consecutive days 9.30am - 4.30pm.  Dates to be confirmed.

Content 

• Follow Health and Safety practices
• Client care and communication in beauty-related industries
• Provide facial skincare

During the course students will produce a portfolio of work. There will be written and practical examinations plus a written external examination.

Additional Information 

Estimated costs - £450 plus kit (approximately £75).  There are no concessions available for this course.  Kit must be purchased prior to starting the course.
