Course Duration
16-18 weeks' interactive blending learning with four ‘Bringing Your Learning to Life’ workshops and one assessment day.
Content
• Anatomy and Physiology for Health and Exercise
• Applying the principles of nutrition to a physical activity
• Programming for personal training with clients
• Delivering Personal Training Sessions
Learning Tools
• Online learning: you will have access to the Active IQ Online Learning website. This interactive learning tool will give you the foundation knowledge broken down into bite-sized units. Your tutor will also track your progress.
• Course manual: Active IQ Course Manual to support your learning.
• Support Tutor: you will have the support of an experienced tutor who will be able to advise you via email and telephone during weekly forums.
• ‘Bringing Your Learning To Life’ workshops: four workshops at our Arena Health Club facility with an experienced tutor who will help you apply your new knowledge.
Assessment
• Two multiple choice theory exams
• The design of an eight week fitness programme
• Practical Assessment
Progression
Specialised continued professional development courses, which will be available shortly at Kingston College

Course Fee: £1299
Free membership of the College’s Arena Club is included for the duration of your course.
20 REPs Continued Professional Development Points.
It is recommended that you undertake a minimum of six hours home study per week.
