English Language Summer School

Spend part of summer 2012 improving your English skills at Kingston College. While you learn, you can make new friends, visit local tourist attractions and enjoy Kingston's sparkling riverside with its many cafes and restaurants. Please see our video.

Entry Requirements

Course Duration

The English Language Summer School starts on 16 July 2012 until 24 August 2012. 

The course is 15 hours per week from 9.30am-12.30pm Monday-Friday.

2 weeks 30 hours £375
4 weeks 60 hours £750
6 weeks 90 hours £1000

Content and Assessment

These Summer School classes have a special emphasis on communication in an English-speaking environment.  Students also focus on developing accuracy and fluency in reading, writing, speaking and listening, with attention to grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.  There are highly qualified and experienced teachers who will support and guide you.  Students enjoy social activities organised on Wednesday afternnoon (there will be an additional cost for some trips) and the classes are held in Kingston Town Centre just 200 metres from the River Thames.  There is also the opportunity to join the College's well equipped gym for £25 whilst you are here in July and August.  It is a great opportunity to make new friends from all over the world and gain new skills.

Progression

The Summer School is a great 'taster' for finding out if you would like to study a Full Time or Part Time English course with us here at Kingston College.  Students can also use the Summer school as a pre-sessional course before progressing to other academic programmes course at Kingston College.  For further information on this please contact international@kingston-college.ac.uk
