If you are looking for the opportunity to improve your GCSE grades then we offer you a GCSE re-take course with a wide range of subject options, specialist teachers and facilities and excellent tutorial support. This course enables you to re-take key GCSEs and also start some new GCSE subjects that you may not have studied previously at school.
We offer the main national curriculum GCSE subjects plus some additional subjects not normally offered at school, for example GCSE Humanities. We have an outstanding student progress-tracking system that uses target grades to support you in your study and to keep you, and your family in touch with your progress. We offer a parents’ consultation evening each term and at the beginning of your course we hold an induction evening for parents.
You will need at least four D grades at GCSE, normally including either English Language or Mathematics.
For your GCSE entry count we only count GCSE passes at D grade or above in academic subjects and we count short courses such as Citizenship as half a GCSE.
International qualifications: we will convert the qualification using the NARIC system and conduct diagnostic tests in English and Mathematics in order to ensure that you are placed on the right course. We also require an IELTS score of 5.5.
A satisfactory reference from your last school or college is required. Students progressing from the Pathway course will need to have completed all their Pathway subjects satisfactorily and achieved passes at least at Level One.
