Level 3 Certificate in Stone Therapy Massage

Entry Requirements

Minimum of 18 years of age.  All applicants must have completed a VTCT level 3 Certificate in Body Massage or equivalent.

Course Duration

Content

This treatment combines the unique use of hot and cold stones with massage techniques, to bring about deep relaxation on a physical and psychological level.  This modern day treatment uses ancient healing traditions to deliver a deeper massage, with less excertion required from the therapist.

Units include:

  • Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon
  • Client care and communication in beauty related industries
  • Apply Stone Therapy Massage using Basalt, Marine, Marble and semi precious stones

Progression

When you have successfully completed this qualification,  you will have the opportunity to progress onto a range of specialist VTCT qualifications, which include:

  • Level 3 Award in Lash Extensions (QCF)
  • Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Treatments (QCF)
  • Level 3 Certificate in Indian Head Massage (QCF)

This qualification may lead directly into employment in the beauty therapy industry as a junior beauty therapist in a salon or self employment as a beauty therapist.

Cost £422.50. 

Whilst there is no mandatory kit purchase needed for this course, students are required to wear a professional uniform for this training. Funding may be available for home applicants who are 18. There are also tuition concessions for students who have not previously achieved a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification and are under 24 years of age. This applies to the tuition fee only.From August 1st 2013, all funding for L3/L4 courses has been replaced by the Over 24 Learning Loan.
