Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations

A one year full-time course delivering all the skills and qualifications required to access a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering.

  • Entry Requirements


    We will invite you to a Meet the Tutor event where you will receive information, advice, and guidance about the course you have applied for. This will be an opportunity for you to gain valuable information about the course and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

    You will provide a copy of your last school report and / or a reference from an employer or relevant professional other. This is to ensure we can support you to be able to achieve well on the course.

    4 x GCSE's at D/3 or above including maths, English and Science, or a Level 1 Diploma in a relevant subject plus GCSE's maths and/or English at C/4, or a Functional Skills Level 2 qualification in maths and / or English.

  • Course Content


    This course covers a wide range of workshop skills, such as using hand tools and machines, and making and testing electronic circuits.

    Successful completion of this course may, subject to the relevant company's selection process, lead to an Apprenticeship with an Engineering Company. Listed below are a number of companies who have accepted students from this programme into their businesses before. We have achieved approximately an 80% conversion from starters into paid apprenticeships in the past. We are regularly asked by employers if we have current students looking for an apprenticeship.
