The hairdressing & barbering industries are one of the most diverse, interesting & fastest growing industries within the UK, with a vast amount of employment opportunities available.

For aspiring managers & Technical hairdressers, this level 4 programme is a logical step in this exciting industry.

  • Entry Requirements


    You will need to have a level 3 qualification in either hairdressing or barbering or be able to demonstrate that you have significant industry experience working in either of these sectors. In addition, applicants must be proficient in written and spoken English.

    Applicants must have access to a suitable salon/barber shop where they will be supported in a junior management or supervisory role. Alternatively, applicants must be available to work in our Headmasters Academy or beauty salon to gain the management experience. A minimum of 3 hours each week would be required.

  • Course Content


    All students will study mandatory units which are:- Management of health, safety & security in the salon Salon Management Sales Management in the hair or beauty sector Quality management of client care Public relations in the hair & beauty sector

    Students will then study further units below depending on their sector

    Hairdressing route you will study: Colour correction (if not previously achieved) OR Manage the creation of a hair collection Human resource management in the hair & beauty sector

    Barbering route you will study: Manage the creation of a male hair collection Human resource management in the hair & beauty sector

    In addition, you will cover, a refresher cutting programme consisting of three on trend cuttings collections.

  • Progression Next Steps


    Employment into a management position or as an advanced technical practitioner.

  • Additional Information


    We are now interviewing for this course for September 2022 start date. The tuition fee for this course is around £3500. Students will also need to purchase or have their own tools for practical sessions.
