Year 1 3D Design and Architecture students recently enjoyed a constructive and informative workshop delivered by global landscape, interior and urban design firm, Ryder Architecture.

Award-winning Ryder Architecture was appointed by Kingston First to develop proposals for the Social Spaces project. Students experienced a day as a landscape architect with ‘how to think as a designer’ presentations, site analysis visits and proposal presentations. They were given an hour to collate ideas together on how they would regenerate three locations in Kingston Town Centre, followed by a presentation of their ideas to the Ryder architects.

Tutor Clare Frost said: “The students showed excellent team work and delivered strong presentation proposals. Thank you Ryder Architecture and Kingston First for this fun and valuable workshop - the students totally enjoyed the day!”
