An award ceremony was held last week to celebrate the achievements of 20 students, the largest number yet, to graduate in this course.
Regan Barfoot graduated with distinction and Marlena Slawinski, Anna Faulkner and Alison Judd passed with merit.
Many of the students have gone on to take the top-up course at Kingston University to achieve the BA (Hons) in Business and Professional Administration. Several others have progressed on to other degree courses.
Another six students who studied at Kingston College and previously graduated with their FDBPA, graduated last week with their BA (Hons) in Business & Professional Administration having completed the top-up and Kingston University. These included Hazel Elliott and Katy Walsh who graduated with First Class Honours.
Janette Bradnick, Field Director, Foundation Degree Business and Professional Administration said:
“The Foundation Degree continues to grow in numbers and success rates with a very diverse group of students, all of whom are working in private or public sector organisations, some with years of business experience and others just starting their careers.”
The College’s Foundation Degree in Business and Professional Administration (FDBPA) has enjoyed unprecedented success. Riding high on this success the College recently launched a new employment-related higher education qualification designed in conjunction with employers, the Foundation Degree in Business and Law Administration (FDBLA).
The Degree, offered in conjunction with Kingston University will develop the student’s awareness and knowledge of business and law administration, both generally and with direct relevance to their own work context, enabling them to study successfully at university level. In addition the employers will gain by acquiring employees with developed communication, planning, time management and problem solving skills.
