The Penny School Gallery is fortunate to be hosting a very special exhibition of new works by Lizzie Brewer and Lesley Bennett. Lizzie is currently lecturing on the Foundation Course at Kingston College and this is Lesley’s second exhibition in the Gallery. Both artists met whilst studying on the MA Drawing as Process course at Kingston University. Since then they have met on a regular basis and it gradually became clear through discussion and research that a joint exhibition would give them both the opportunity to review their work, in a new context, four years on.

Lizzie’s works are concentrated on the study of line and its structure. Her work is process lead, drawing on her interest in scale and the concept of micro/macro.

Lesley’s works are mostly geometrical assemblies constructed on graph paper, developed from the random effects produced by dripping ink on to paper.
