Kingston College is delighted to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design with a retrospective exhibition of the works of former students which includes highlights of their study visits to the world’s most exciting cities.
The Foundation Diploma in Art and Design was established in September 1999 to meet the needs of local students who were looking for a broad based diagnostic art and design course that would enable them to progress onto Higher Education.
David Browne, Dean of Faculty, Design Studies explains: “Since its modest beginnings hundreds of students have successfully progressed onto major art schools and universities across the UK. Many of these past students are now working in the creative industries and we are delighted to be showing examples of their work in Kingston College’s Penny School Gallery. The exhibition will also include a few of the highlights that have been recorded over the ten years of student projects and study visits to New York, Berlin, Rotterdam and Barcelona.
“In addition to celebrating their achievements the exhibition will be a huge inspiration to both our current and prospective art and design students.”
