Kingston College were proud sponsors of the Independent Retailer Award at this year’s Kingston Business Awards 2011, in association with Barclays. The winners were announced at a gala dinner held at The Holiday Inn, Kingston on 24 November and Kingston College was delighted to present the Independent Retailer Award to chic Surbiton shoe retailers, Shoes at Last.
Kingston Business Awards 2011, in association with Barclays, have been developed by South London Business and Kingston Chamber of Commerce, in order to reward and celebrate the many dynamic and innovative businesses in the borough.
Ross Feeney, Director of Business Support, South London Business Ltd, said: “We are delighted to launch the Kingston Business Awards. We may be in a recession, but we still need to reward and celebrate our business community – and acknowledge Kingston’s success stories.”

A raffle and silent auction was held during dinner and all the proceeds went to the Mayor’s chosen charities, Born to Soon and MacMillian Cancer Support.
