Kingston College student, Giorgia Dunne, has been selected to attend a Club Italia Training Camp in Rome from 2nd to 5th January 2012.
Giorgia, who is 17 and travels to the College from Isleworth, is a regular team player at the College’s Alex Scott Academy. A delighted Academy Director Adam Douthwaite stated: “This is an amazing opportunity for Giorgia – I believe she has the talent and drive to represent Italy in the near future. The Academy is very proud that she has been asked to attend the Club Italia training camp.”
Giorgia is on target to achieve the higher of her predicted grades for her BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport and she is hoping to secure a USA Scholarship next year.
Douthwaite continued: “Kingston College supports numerous talented athletes pursuing their sporting ambitions. Giorgia is able to study an Academic qualification via blended learning while having the opportunity of attending training camps like this.”
Head of Section Jade Easton continued: “”The College received a fax from Massimo Del Sordo, from the National Teams department at Club Italia. We are thrilled she has been asked and will fully support Giorgia with this experience and wish her a successful trip to Rome.”
