Dominic Dwyer left the College in 2008 and will now be playing soccer in the same league as David Beckham, who plays for LA Galaxy, thanks to the deal with Generation adidas.
Dominic played soccer at Tyler Junior College in Texas for two years before signing to the University of South Florida where he played the forward position. He was named the offensive player of the year in the Big East and was named 2nd team All American by College Soccer News and the NCAA.
Jade Easton, Head of Section Academic Sport and Coaching, said: “Dominic was an outstanding footballer when he studied at Kingston College, he represented the Staines Town Academy through some of their most successful seasons but suffered serious injuries breaks to arm and foot, so it is a pleasure to see him through his rehab and still achieve his dream to become a professional footballer player.”
Dominic Dwyer was a member of the Men’s Football Academy in partnership with Staines Town Football Club and he played regularly for a side that won both league and cup honours in his time at Kingston College. Dominic also studied for the BTEC National Diploma in Sport (Performance and Excellence) achieving grade profile MPP enabling him to continue his studies at Tyler Junior College alongside playing football in the NJCAA Division 1 league for which they have just become District Champions with Dominic being the top goal scorer with 33 goals in 18 games.
