Under the Young Roots programme, Sakoba Dance delivered a six month heritage learning project involving young people from the Kingston area with partners Kingston College and Kingston Museum.
The project was a dance theatre journey devised, produced, presented and performed by 20 young people from Kingston following the life of Cesar Picton (1755-1836) from his birth as a free man in Senegal to his death as a rich man in Kingston.
We would like to share with you the findings of the project here in the Sensing Cesar Project Report.
