Kingston College had a fantastic day on Tuesday 7th March at the Kingston Schools Trampoline Competition.

Learners, Amy Phipps, Daemarius Roberts and Nanayaa Mahlangu had been attending KC Active trampolining sessions weekly when their coach Louise Ellis, from Kingston Trampoline Academy (KTA), suggested entering the competition as she could see their potential.

Over the past term Louise has worked with the learners to practise and perfect their routines with all their hard work paying off with them taking Team Silver for the Year 11+ category! Amy also achieved individual Bronze for the Year 11+ category, a huge triumph.

We spoke to coach Louise to find out more: “I am extremely proud of how the students did at the competition as they got up and gave it their all. They have worked incredibly hard and considering they only practise 45 minutes a week at a rec session, to achieve second place in the Borough for their age group is brilliant.”

KC Active would like to thank Kingston Trampoline Academy and Louise for all the hard work and time they put into helping our learners try a new sport and reach new goals.
